Thx! sorry but you'll have to wait a bit for more nebula scenes. I would like to get the materials done before I move on to those. on that thought.... update! other than the main hull unwrap that's the gondola bottom. I'm working on the top half now. I'll update once my current render finishes. ![]()

ya I apologize for the dark renders. When there isn't a lot of mesh reflecting the lights the overall composition feels dark. Plus on the city I dare not increase my light brightness too much, as it cast illumination on the other buildings, which look grainy, so I then have to up the sampling on my material, which makes render times skyrocket. I made them a bit brighter for the render I'm doing now to see how bad the effect is at range. Speaking of which I had to restart my render from last night a little smaller. 2500 wide. when it tried to calculate the glow effect it's little brain said enough. ![]() as for city level render. I'll do that next. I don't promise excellent results as this texture and modeling are meant for distance shots, but who knows.

ok. update. I won't be doing many of these city level renders until I have a new model for it. lol. This one took 11hrs and still is grainy as all hell. ![]() ![]() and the before mentioned large render. ![]() now it's off to work! Nothing like working on a holiday. (at least I get time and a half.

ya It sucks that the lights are casting such spastic illumination that I have to up the samples. If I create a separate mesh I should be able to better control the effect though. Hope to have something new to show late tomorrow. Haven't gotten a chance to work on it all day. I'll be moving onto the bay secondary textures next.
