| the texture is just a stock max space panel texture. From your pic it doesn't look like the same one though. I'll see if I can't find the file later if you still want it. I may make it a bit lighter before it's all said and done, but overall the metal is pretty close to the beliskner skin from the show, which is what I wanted for it. Keep in mind that I've only done about 20-25 percent of the lights. only a handful of the windows. The over all mesh will be much more illuminated before it's all done. Plus to fit in Raynor's story it will be in a nebula and lit fairly well. This is all just preliminary shots to establish that my shaders are true to Asgard tech which we primarily see it deep space. |

| Sabre Program Director | great bit of modelling and everything man, but... I highly suggest either making your own textures, looking up some texture tutorials, or if need be, asking someone else to do the textures for you. Right now, the textures really aren't doing your model justice, because all the detail work and all the lovely modelling you did is just lost in the darkness of your textures. Take a look at screengrabs of the Daedalus, for example. Realistically lit, yes, but you can still see the details. Good luck in this part of your modelling Cheers, Nick |

| Thx for the good words. Like I said this is still very much a work in progress. Materials are going to take me at least the same amount of time that modeling did. I'm confidant that once all of the lighting elements are in place that it will look much better. small update. Changed the textures again, but they are getting closer to what they need to be. Still no mapping done, so it's still my test paneling maps Also images will be smaller for a while so that I can render them without hour long breaks. ![]() I've also uploaded a couple of my reference shots to show you guys What I hope my end results to be as far as lighting and shaders. I'm still not there, but getting close. Lights will come after that. btw. I don't claim credit for the screencaps, so credit goes to whomever the intrepid soul was that uploaded them for thieving bastards like myself. http://cbrockett.com/images/misc/sta...lhalla/682.jpg http://cbrockett.com/images/misc/sta...lhalla/740.jpg http://cbrockett.com/images/misc/sta...ntruder362.jpg |
