Anyway, a minor update, using the excellent Magelords reference images for the Lance cannon though only for the weapon barrels. (The one who did the side-on Imperial ships.)

His DeviantArt Gallery, you can find my reference there.

Looking at that one on deviant art. Well, it makes yours look weak... and puny.

Well.. perhaps take a closer look at that broadside firing shot on Deviant art. It's 'just' a composite using the metal miniature with very heavy post-production and compositing in Photoshop. I'll stick my right hand in a furnace on Mars (or my kitchen oven) if that's a 3D model... (the 2D schematics are pretty cool though)

Good job on the guns & missiles, keep it up mate

PS: don't forget to change or alter the mini turret on top of the big lance turret. Right now it's too clear a scaled copy of the big one

The DeviantArt stuff is good, how close to that level of insane greeblage do you think you'll get? I assume so long as this thread stays alive with people shouting "MORE" you'll continue?

Not quite, when I feel its done i'll be done with it. My system is beginning to complain even now at 290'000 odd polys.

I likely won't approach anywhere near that level of greeblage.... It's easier to detail that level in 2d in theory than in 3d.
