yea In the 40k Universe there is alot of Latin influence in there names. Sovereign is more of a Star Wars Empire thing. so you got the Empire feel going just the wrong universe. But Hey break the mold.

Update: Unfortunately this one literally jumped the Poly-count by at least fifty thousand polys. Though I could be wrong. (I didn't check the polycount after adding all the windows. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Surely to be proper 40K it should be stencilled onto a gaint banner surrounded by flags of allthe guard regiments and marine chapters associated with the ship over the years. I mean, balls to the concept of it flying through a vacuum, this is all about style! oooh... skulls. Sweet.

hiya just found this and i am amazed, looks awesome! those macro cannons look sweet. erm.. just a little critisim/advice opinion?! hehe heavy bolters are way too small for a capitla ship, think bigger, think titan scale weapons. BFG strike craft like you say are the size or bigger than jumbo jets! official cruiser size confirmed in the BFG novels is 3.5km with over 13,000 crew(unknow weather this includes the servitors) also fromt he BFG rulebook; weapons batteries; each battery consists of rank upon rank of weapons; plasma projectors, laser cannons, missiles launchers, rail guns, fusion beamers and graviton pulsars. also andy chambers (they guy that basically created BFG) also states that lance turrets are massive triple, quad barrelled weapons that combine all thier beams into one devastating beam, his words for visuals was the beam weapons from B5 advanced races. op.s, in the BFG novels theres a refence that cruisers/capital ships have tens of thousands of turrets ranging between the long, medium and short/point. also in there 10k is considered point blank range, so im guessing BFG weapons ranges are waht? million kilometres? more? p.p.s. hehe dont forget the turrets on the wings

2: It has been worked out that weapon ranges average around half a million to 400'000 odd kilometres with some exceptions. Forget? They're already there! (I've just gone with a more realistic scale rather than the model itself while is .... exaggerated.... to cover more detail.Trust me matey, i'm quite likely a much greater BFG fanatic than you. I have witness dozens to hundreds of scaling changes for 40k starships (including the original Star Fleet ships which if I recall correctly were scaled to HUNDREDS of kilometres.) | |||||

regarding the BFG book, aye thats the problem isnt it, and as andy chambers hasnt confirmed it many/most will just use it. ship sizes... lol yeah i remember that one, imperial capital where stupidly large, and getting bigger alll the time if i remember right. yeah BFG ship sizes change alot, the cobra destroyer use to be the size of a star wars stardestroyer (1.6km) that has now dropped to about 800-900m wheres as the frigate is pushing 2km almost as big as the light cruiser. regarding wings, sorry i can only view half the posted pics, i get a ripped picture symbol. with regards to the heavy bolters, the only problem i had was their too small, and if you scale them up thier not heavy bolters are they? the bolter scaled up from a .75 cal weapon is the 1.0 cal heavy bolter. all i was mrely suggesting was in fact having them as the vulcan mega-bolters, thats why i was suggesting thinking bigger. i wont argue about the greater fan as those are never ending arguments when started, lol i have seen a fair number of those. all i will say is im glad someone has decided to make Imperial capital ship hehe.... i have actually decided to learn myself how to do prior to finding this thread. so great job kadaeux and im looking forward the BFG mod, have been following it since heretic announced it and first started the BFG forum.
