| Well, I think using a setup with omni lights might do the trick. Place an omni in front of every light box, make sure they have attenuation and have them overlap in the centre of your hangar space. Be sure to have their shadows set up so they make soft edges, otherwise you'd end up with a football stadium lighting effect with multiple shadows. |

| Cheers lads!! @Meph: I actually tried omni setup. I didn't work out well and somehow the light kept illuminating stuff outside the hangar... might be just wrong setup from my side tho', will definitely try it again the way you suggested. I have done it a tad differently. Thanks for the idea. |

| Another way, that might actually work very well is to use a Vray Light material. I basicaly lit the Olympic/Heracles' bridge and the Olympic's promenade with just some moedeled stripw with a Vray lught material assigned to them. I found it's a very good way to light large spaces as you have no point of origin for the lights. You could use the existing lighting strips and have them emit a very high value light, or place more of them (a Star Wars-like white rim somewhere might do wonders) |

| Project Lead on SFM Film | Congrates on the little one. Don't know how I missed this thread for so long. Looks like your building a great ship. I love the details that you have put into this. I will be keeping an eye on this more offten. |

![]() @ Meph: Anyway. Omni light method still works against me. It just can't get it look like as I want. Vray is no go for me... Don't have it... Anyway.. I just did some more tweaks on the previously mentioned light setup and I think I'll move onto another part of the ship.. Slowly getting fed up with hangars. <grins>

| Indeed, the lighted 'cones' on the 'walls' from the omni's are not even bothering me. |

![]() btw: I had a thought ( yep i happens to me from time to time )Would like to know your opinion... In the age of Artificial Gravity... It should not be a problem to use the ceiling as floor right? That means, that in the main fighter bays I could actually have two "floors", right? Hmm not sure if I put that well, will make you an sketch when I get my had on photoshop...
