Loving your design so far Tinukedaya!

Only thing that bothers me are the (antenna / protrusions) sticking out of the front of the hangar bays...look like they could be a hazard to a ship coming in to land! Otherwise looking awsome.

Keep up with me at my BLOG

madaboutgames: Nice carrier yo got there. I hope though to finnish mine a bit sooner then in 5 years.

the phoenix: Mjolnir sure is great name. The thing is, you have to know what it is to find it fitting, where simply "War Hammer" is self explanatory.

FM2K: Those "antenas" are actually enclosing the apron corridor for the hangar. There are some position/traffic lights on it, which are not really seen now. Also, the Hangar is kinda BIG and it's for small fighters/bombers so i should not be a problem for them to avoid that.

Thanks for the comments lads, most appreciated.

hehe. yeah that's exactly what I meant... My projects have the bad habit of fading into oblivion. So I hope to have enough time and the right mood to finish this one.

I have a dilema right now. On the wing tip, above the hangar and somewhere on the bottom side, I plan to add few turrets. I started with big plasma thrower so it can hold off some bigger ships. Then I wanted to add few smaller anti-fighter turrets.

On the other hand. I was thinking about just few Missile turrets without small defense turrets. With just pair of torpedo tubes against big guys, but mostly fitted with small missiles agains fighters.

What do you think? I do not really want to spam the surface with small turrets. On the practical side it would be better though, because loosing one of those will not really mean any difference.

Hmm. As I'm typing this I guess I will go for an compromise. Never mind me, just thinking loud....

Hope to post an update later today, once I get out of work.

Right, here is the update I promised. I refined the wings a bit and will move to some other part now again. I want to do some rough work on the whole ship before continuing to add more detailing.

As always any C&C is most welcomed.

Forcemaster2000 has a good point, I am in the aviation community in the military and personally, coming in hot on a ship or tarmac, the last thing u want is anything pointy that you might run into, whether ur trained or not, accidents do happen. Now I dont know if thats a thru-hanger or one way like Daedalus, but I do highly suggest for realistic sake removing the antennae and relocating them either closer to the ship, or at a perpendicular angle to the vessel, but most importantly, keep the hangar areas simple, pilots can get stupid.

great work, but caeser4031 is write pilots tend to forget things when being shot at and might get impaled on a antenae. otherwise good work

Well, I really like my "antennae". I see your points, but you have to know, that the ship is really big. It's not really pointy for the fighters. It would not be any harder for the pilots to land there as it is to land on todays carriers. And, as rude as it may sound, I guess it would be better if the pilots hits to corridor then impacts on the hangar wall.

So. To sumarise, I will keep it, because i really like my "antennae" even if they are not really practical.

Soo. Here is a little update again. I know you do not like my "tentacles", but I pomise those are the last ones. As you may see on the sketch, some were actually suposed to be on the sides. Will keep those away though as they would just cause a lot of traffic-jams alongside the main hangars.
