This thing looks great, I want one! I really like the smooth design you've got going, and the engine tilt is good. Kinda reminds me of summat that could be in a 40K Tau airforce. Cant wait to see the finish

Great stuff, the projections on the nose give it a cat-fish look - perfect for something meant for water also! Looking it the cockpit- so it's up down and front only, no side vision for the pilot?

Quick update, cockpit roughed out how i want it. The whole cockpit front is lifted away once the fighter is onboard the sub carrier. later project. Yea not really any side view outside the cockpit but ill be equipping advanced optical equipment to compensate ![]() @FlamingPheonix I have a full backstory for the SF-1 and Ill also be doing a SF-1A variant with ground landing capability once I've finished this one. Ill post the backstory once ive finished the modelling side this one. ![]() Keep your comments coming guys

Okay all small update for you, had a few minutes spare so started to flesh out the sensor systems. Also come up with a really good missile management and launch system which ill be working on next. Anyone who knows how to rig up mechanical arms in max 8, Id be grateful for some help ![]() ![]() The pieces on the front will be the forward lights for when she's under water, felt it neccessary to have alot of forward lighting for those ocean recon missions its the main reason im now nicknaming this project "Manta Sub Fighter"

I think there'll be problems with the water intake of those engines. I guess that can be solved by moving them a bit out of the 'shadow' of the cockpit. Otherwise, nice idea, already saw the ship that Red Alert 3 will use?

Red Alert 3? This isnt for a game its just a little summer project, I intend to have 2 variants of this fighter, a sub carrier and possibly some surface vessels. Its for an idea of an all out ocean war about 30 odd years from now when the only oil and natural resources left are in the deep oceans.

Really like the Manta Ray design this has going. Looks great and, at least in the water, can see this being a very plausible craft. You said at the start that it was a fighter - a question I have is about what weapon systems it would have? will there be seperated dedicated systems - one for air use and one for under water? I only ask cause they have almost entirely different delivery systems needed for those disparate environments, developing a singular weapons launch platform that can be effectively used in both would be very challenging. You've actually mentioned missles once or twice, would the launchers therefore also be interchangable with torpedoes? There is also the issue that if you fit guns, well fine for air but bullets don't do much in more than a few feet of water (well thats what the Mythbusters guys concluded ).Maybe I'm just over thinking this but hell, great model ![]() Tom
