nice, good work on the underside, everything looks well in place now. Judging from the renders so far it gives the impressions its around the size of a 747 in length.

I've had a look at the measurements and with the 747 beeing roughly 70m long the Poseidon's fuselage would be round about 2m high at the cockpit section.
I think, sitting down, this would be ok for a cockpit but with all the armourplating, lifesupport, etc. I would go for something about 50% larger than that.

This would make it (at the moment) roughly 120m long, 56m wide and 36m tall (including the wing blades).

Just imagine this standing at your local airport
Although, I haven't yet decided if it capable of atmospheric flight. It would need vertical thrusters and it would have to be able to fold it's wings to land on something less fragile. Folding wings sound nice, I think I'll try something.

It doesn't really look like an atmospheric type of bird, I think you should just stick with space bomber role

quite right. I'm not going to change anything to allow atmospheric travel and the Poseidon's main operational area will stay in space but a retractable undercarriage should fit quite nicely and should also be necessary regardless of where it is used.

I have begun working on the wing blades but they are not yet coming out as I would like them to. They don't look massive enough and I will probably fill the holes again but I haven't yet come up with a flow of the structure that will make the wings look like they belong to look like they do. I don't like randomly scattered details. I prefere that details look like they serve a purpose.

I also added some casing for the engines and widened the body a bit. It's still very much a work in progress.

Now this is much better. Still not detailed enough but it will do for the moment. I think I'll do the fuselage and cockpit section next.
I also added a little colour. Let's see where this leads us and if I'll stick with the green as base colour.

nice update, what is the purpose of the "blades" other than looking mighty cool?

well, coolness is always a good purpose but the blades are primarily meant to shield the payload and main body parts. That's also the reason why the blades extend to the back as well.
You could argue that the blades would work better if they didn't have those holes but they wouldn't look as good in that case.
The holes are also necessary for the auxiliary engines that are mounted inside the orange plates, pointing to the front and to the back of the Poseidon.

How about also being used as a heat sink system? You could imagine systems and engine coolant circulating through the blades as a process of heat exchange. This is probably the most popular design function for such a structure in scifi design.

Or perhaps even they could be large sensor or countermeasures arrays or something do do with stealth.

Just beautifully awesome design by the way...

I was actually thinking about using the blades as heat sink but I wasn't sure that they would work in the vacuum of space. Besides that the engines are also quite far away.
But I like the idea of heat sinks and I also had venting slots planned for the wings so that would support that idea.
I'll have a look how it works out and maybe somebody here has had experience with heat dissipation in space

Thanks for the positive feedback about the design that I have been getting from all of you. I appreciate it very much
