| why are the images of the docking port so grainy? The modeling on them looks grate but the renders seem look quite low quality compared to the others you have put up, is there any reason for this? She seems to be coming along relay well, nice detailing. |

| No bathrooms? I always wondered about the replicator technology. Now I'm sorry I asked. Nice work on the ship, JJ. Although for some reason ZoneAlarm doesn't like your webhost. Keeps blocking it as a spy site. |

| SFM Guru | yeah, she is lightwave. the images look grainy cause if i wanted them to look smooth i would have to sit another 30 minutes. those are pretty good when all i am using is a surface to light it. its radiosity, now i am using radiosity on my other images, but not many of those surfaces are giving off light. when ya have the surface giving off light ya sometimes get that speckled look, which normally takes a significant time extra to get it to look fine. plus i ma using two bounce radiosity, so the computer is calculating twice for ever pixel, times as many angles it uses to determine light source. so can get pretty computationally extensive. lizzy, now sure about zone alarm, but the site is good. i wouldn't put nothing bad up there. why use zone alarm anyhow? silly programs out there. |

| SFM Guru | here is a little update, i finished up the pylons today. least the base, i will be adding in details later on that will add some stuff to the pylons, but for now, this is what they look like. cut clean with some paneling. also, in this image you will notice the almost perfect render, the warp grill is the most noticeable part. i let this FPrime render almost to 3000. if anyone is familiar with lightwave and FPrime, then ya know that's a lot. but hey i turned on a movie and forgot about it. enjoy. |

| SFM Obsessed | I'm not familiar with FPrime. Super job on the grills, I also like the bussard collecters. On the original mesh they aren't this detailed, great job. |

let me see if i can get a pic together for ya of the low poly. Image bellow is what the low poly mesh looked like before i subdivided it and froze it like it is now. it took a lot of patience and a lot of effort to get it just right. ![]() from that i get this | |
