also, for all who may care of such things, the poly count thus far is 368,000 give or take.
not that i cant handle more, lol. i project she may get up to 450k by the time i am done.

I like of the doors, but I believe you can add some small greebles to the sides, in the hull itself. Something like this:

yeah i could add some details like that.

i am not happy with the back doors tho. they just arent practical like that. no way can those doors open, so i was thinking, what if i have them retract downwards into the deck bellow. the clam shell design works nicely if the clam shell is spherical. but the doors on legacy are more elliptical.
so i may go and change something there soon.

ok, time for update.

almost done with her, i added the transporter emitters, the forward phaser strips, pending the rest, and the decals. and a few other things here and there.

oh and look i just realized i am missing a window after i posted this. :P

nice update as usual. I did notice that on the top saucer, right above the registry between the 9 and 3 there is some kind of mark. You sure are making me drool alot

I have to mop my computer everytime I see an update from you. Keep it up.

If it's the same thing I'm looking at its shadowing from the edge of one of the hull plates/ panels.

It's looking good. I'm surprised at how quickly it's to the "almost finished" stage.

yes, the mark you see is the angle of the shield grid. normally you only see the parts , but there you see the darker bottom part of it at that angle. look at the same area opposite side.

as for almost done, i don't know. i will be adding my own detail, like decals and extra panels and such. i also may do some panel ware as seen on other ships. there is also the point of adding shield grid reinforcements similar to that on the intrepid class.
i also have to refine the colors i have for everything, and add simple textures to the surfaces to make em look at least a bit more real.

then i must do the light rigging, and setup a nice render.

that at least is the plan. how long it will take, i don't know. i personally cant wait to be done.
