I have always loved this design and it is great to see you breathe new life into her. Amazing work so far, I look forward to seeing the finished product.

i was working on the legacy today, doing some changed to the surfaces, made one pic, then lightwave crashed and the changed i made were not saved. to bad, i will have to go back and do it again, but for that one pic, here it is.

in the image i was testing how one light lit the ship. i changed the windows to give off a bright blue color to simulate the interior since i haven't done that yet.

she is by far not done yet. keep that in mind, hehe.

and suggestions welcome.

ok, i hope you all enjoy these pics.

i took my time to figure out what the various surface properties should be and i think i like what i got.

first image here is mainly to show off the bussard collector, which i made an inside for and which will parallax when animated, it will also seem to move when animated similar to Kaden's version.

second shows off the rear. notice the reflections, etc. and the impulse engines i tweeked a bit. hope you like em.

Legacies main deflector and cargo bays and various other things.

Here she comes!

Last iamge here. close up. really close. no interior yet, but you can use your imagination. i was thinking as this rendered, what if i can get the panels to pop up like the ones on the NX-01 as seen in the series. i could do this by maybe assigning them a UV map and have one image that is assigned to the map. idk, will think about doing that.

still not done mind you, but she sure is looking pretty. no glow or lights either. if i want to get the glow in there i would need to render in lightwave native and not in Fprime as i have done here. time diference is like 100 fold tho.

anyway, more to come soon. enjoy.

Are the name and the number textured or cut over the hull?
Your mesh has clean lines and is well smoothed, as we can see in the close shoots. The polly count must be higher, no? Looks dammed cool.
Letīs see that new doors now.

those panels on the front and on the saucer look raised a bit too high in the renders, is it the shadows or are they quite high ?

And when the day arrives, i'll become the sky
And i'll become the sea and the sea will come to kiss me. For I am going home

nothing can stop me now
