maybe they can be some type of sensors.

hey guys. been working on the interior boxes. got them just about complete now so here are some images.

First image, no reflection or radiosity, so for those of you with crazy eyes don't get confused.

Second, with reflections and such, still hard to figure where the shadows and reflections begin and end.

Third, now you should be able to figure out the shadows, and reflections. don't mind the naked guy, that's just Galen on his day off.

Fourth, the forward galley, deck 3.

Fifth, engineering hull room. and look its Galen again, trying to get into my ship again.

And some images for those of you interested in what interior boxes look like for your own reference.

any questions?

they are like coverings for something, sensors maybe. you could add little latches to the sides of them. i think i got the idea off the akira, it has those kinda patterns on the front which looked cool

And when the day arrives, i'll become the sky
And i'll become the sea and the sea will come to kiss me. For I am going home

nothing can stop me now

kaden is online now

wow, impressive.

But I think you should dress that lass up with a space suit. It's quite cold in space, he might get a cold, or worse: a flu.
Not to speak of the not so sufficient oxygene. Anoxia isn't good either....

See the Shadows of Darkness, Hear the Scream of Cruelty...

That's why I've became a Warrior of Heart, Defend the one you like, Guard the one you love...

very nice, I want to learn how to put funiture in the rooms on my nova mesh.

Amazing. I tracked the Legacy from the middle of 1.0. It makes me wish that I had started with Lightwave, instead of Carrara. Even when you subdivided the mesh, all of the polys are square and flowing, unlike Carrara which triangulates to achieve smoothing.

Again a beautiful ship, and can't wait to see the interiors.

Just curious though, how much CPU and Memory does it take to render it? I want to compare some different aspects of the two programs as I am looking at upgrading to the next level of 3D application.

jap, I have both Max and Lightwave and while it takes awhile to learn, I really like Lightwave better.
