Balao-Class USS Stringray

This is meant to be a future version of the Akula Class. The Akula is one of my favorite designs. It was built towards of the end of the Galaxy-class era.

looks great this ship has potential to become a great model the nacelles could use some work and yet perhaps a little re-designing to make her look more intimidating as a starship post galaxy class era remember since star trek first contact most starfleet ships began to have a more agresive look good job anyways and keep it up hope to see more of this great ship soon

Pigpen.
I like your combining of the (azaki/nx "era" intrepid) and the (Galaxy nacelles and sensor array).

A question though, what are those pipes under the sensor array? torpedo tubes?

Great start and keep it coming.

I like this one alot but agree with aylaa12, you really might want to consider a more post tng look with the nacceles to give it a more agressive look.

I made some changes to the nacelles. This is a ship that comes at the end of the Galaxy era, just before the Enterprise E. The tubes at the Dish and at the rear of the saucer are phaser cannons. Much like the one found on the future Enterprise D. However they are no where near as powerful.

Hm, interesting looks like a mix between a Norway and the said Akula.

Anyway quite interesting...

btw, what's with the Ent-J and uhh... G?

See the Shadows of Darkness, Hear the Scream of Cruelty...

That's why I've became a Warrior of Heart, Defend the one you like, Guard the one you love...

mmm great a change on the nacelles I believe we're moving on the right direction now still something does not match up on the look of the nacelles but the idea looks good as for the phaser cannons they could use a little rounding on the edges to match up the intended era other than that this model is moving on the right track

I love the Enterprise J. That pic is of the model that I created. I am thinking about making the nacelles thinner. But I do think the ship is coming along. Thanks for the opinions.

Nice work on the USS Stingray. This is a nice revision of a old classic. Keep up the good work.

MMM...very nicely done! I like this one. May I have permission to use the design for a TNG-era (post-Nemesis) fan fic?

A post-Wolf 359 refit of the NX-Class and the Akula/Akyazi-Class as part of the Federation/Starfleet's desire to return to their original mission to "seek out new life, new civilizations".

Crewed by a small handful of "accelerated" Academy brats and a few senior officers transferred from the salvage vessels, (consisting of Utopia Planetia designers/engineers,) that stripped, restored and re-assembled the reconfigured ghost vessels from Rashanar & other now-silent Dominion War / Borg battlefields and compatible ships from The Starship Museum for the Stingray's initial shakedown cruise before some scheduled wargames/drills with the rest of the Alpha Quadrant Alliance partners in "need-to-know-only" locations.

Starfleet Command has decided to address the "Homeworld Defense" aspect of Starfleet, and permanently stationed a variety of "partner" battlegroups consisting of Romulans, Federation/Starfleet Ships, Klingons, Cardassians & other concerned volunteers along certain points within their respective homeworlds' solar systems and bordering them, to prevent another "Black Sunday" like the Breen Raid on San Francisco.
