Well, if back will be at least half as good as the front head, it will surely be impressive even then The shots already look extremely realistic. Can't wait to see more

Thanks guys, I am both really excited about doing Threepio and completely terrified, but will see how I get on

The shots themselves have no physical lights in there, as the materials are either reflective or self illuminating (the eyes) I have just used an enviorment map (HDRI) mixed with the (improved) exposure controls and voila

Wow, thanks guys, great to get this kind of support will help me through the dark days (which are to come I am sure)...

Anyhoo, only a little update (will try and get more to show later today), started on the back of the head, detailed the bolt and now moving onto the main shape... so away I go, back soon (I hope)!
