Cool, oh no Homer's after turning Threepio into the next Freddy Kruger

Its all Maya at the office, the art chaps keep looking down there noses at me with Max open lol... However think I am gonna give Maya a go for my next project after Threepio, see how I get on

Well Maya is the industry standard for 3d figure modeling and animation. Although i hear the learning curve is pretty steep

As for the poster, i havent figured out which direction im gonna go in, but hopefully it will be good.

Aye, I've heard that

Ok another quick update, got a couple of hours today to play, so got the rim around his head done and ready for the inlets, and done some tidy ups, also I found some more reference showing the jaw joint, argggh... a bit more to it than I thought so I am going to have to redo the lower chin area, ah well as ever on I go

Can't say a bad word about it If the (not finished) head alone was over 80 000 polys, I wonder how much will the finish model be ... Oh and you're going to model Anthony Daniels inside too, right ?

So the final version is going to appear on PS2 ? Not PS3 because it's "2" which was going to have photorealistic and Toy Story-like graphics
Oh and ... wow at the Kenny Baker model That's quite a surprise ... I was only joking

I wish I coul model the human inside as well though, cos that would be an awesome project, and I dont think anybody has done such a thing before (in this subject matter that is).
