Render farm I can get access to, its the patience bit that worries me...

Ok here's today's progress, its been fun (not), the outer rim on his head has been a real pain in the arse, trying to figure out how to set up the smooth mesh without affecting all the extrusions I had done (for the inlets).

I ending going back to an earlier save, and simply turbosmoothed (and collapsed the stack) and I am now cutting the extrusions back in from that, so really interested in what techniques people use for such bits where smoothed mesh meets hard egdes, curious to see if what I am doing now is actually the way to go?

Anyway here is the update hopes ya likes!

I have some further tweaks and of course the inlets to finish, but on track for finishing the head this week

Wiz.

He said before that he's insane, so assume he means the whole body

That's going to take some serious faffing about to do! Good luck on the challenge of making it: It looks awesome so far, especially with your improved metal shaders!

Visit my Endless Pluto Station project, I'm still working on it, honest!

YAY!

I have finished his head, stage one is done, and still completely sane...

Although this was really the easy bit compared to the rest of him... (gulp)

I have some final tweaks to do, remove some of the symmetry and wotnot, and not completely happy with the chin, but will come back to that later down the line

The metal shader is still a WIP, but will refine as I go along

Ok need sometime to research body modelling, but hopefully wont be too long before I have something to show

Cheers,

Wiz.
