@Dallidas: Indeed, it was too fat. I thinned down the landing pad to an acceptable level and still thick enough for the sliding of the airlock doors.

@Tinukedaya: Indeed, i cut the door in half and they just fit. Well, actually the aft bit just doesn't by a meter but the corners pop out neatky between two supporting struts so that gives me a perfect excuse to give it a real industrial look with lots of girders to show the space for the sliding baydoor.

@Freak: the CIWS are on the to do list, first I want to take care of the biggies before tackling the smaller guns.

.....
..... so your launching from a standstill? Because those don't look viable under maneuvering or accelerating.

If you're refering to the two extending booms, that's just to guide them on exit of teh hull. The tube inside the hull has 4 arrays for launching so then the fighter gets held in place by 4 opposing artificial gavity or electromagnetic arrays.

Thanks I-D

I've started detailing the launch section, the mesh errors still need cleaning though...

that looks amazing. Very nice lighting.

Is it just me or does it look like some of the antennas in the cluster on the front look like they're floating around?

Thanks guys!

@Berkut: That's just a hallucination The floating parts are acrually attached to a main antenna ising copper struts, but because I'm rendering with a black background, the copper is very very dark in some places.
@liam887: And I've got at least one other version is store for when this one's finished
