| Better Dead Than Red | what app are you using? |
| | It's easy to see in these tired eyes, that blood has no value in modern life. | All time is held in stars, and it tears me apart. | [_]|||||||[_] | backstept.blogspot.com | |

| This time you see | Got a link to that tut Ken please? ![]() I remember doing some planets in C4D a bit back now, the atmosphere effect was the hardest thing to get right. ![]() Keep in mind that atmosphere should be relative to the size of the planet, and the gravity situation you're trying to illustrate. If your planet is "really" 10000km in diameter (as a disc-shape) and your atmosphere tops out 100km above the surface, you'd make spheres of 100 for the planet itself, and 101.00 for the atmosphere. Proportionally, that would give you an atmospheric "halo" roughly equivalent to the Earths. Increasing the diameter of the secondary sphere will either lower the perceptual size of the planet, or make the planet appear to have a lower gravity (thus not holding the atmosphere so close). |

| SFM Obsessed | here is the first attempt in lightwave, I think it looks even better than it did in Max. |

| This time you see | Cool. If it's a frozen planet then you'll probably want to look at Hoth from Empire Strikes Back for colour inspiration. There'll probably be quite a high percentage of the surface obscured too, seeing as snow will be blown up into the air. |
