blender Behemoth-class Battlecruiser

That ship actually made me take up 3d...
It is one of the terran capital ships in the Starcraft universe, the other one that I know of is the mammoth-class carrier (search the starcraft wikia for info). I will skip the rest of the backstory as you most probably know it considering the popularity of this game
Anyways, here's my mesh

References are mostly taken from the in-game cutscenes.
I'm now wondering if I should add some more detail or start texturing it(actually start learning how to make textures but whatever...).

definatly needs texturing welcome to sfm. Also, even if it's your mesh, you need to add credits to the image.

Haven't got much time lately... damn exams.
@Lonewriter - Thanks for the welcome Will try not to forget the credits from now on...
Anyways, here is a render of some quick fixes I made(fixed parts of the hammerhead). I've also set some temporary(I hope) textures, tried to make them true to the BC's original ones...

This time rendered in Yafray(no GI)

Great work so far. Depends on how far you want to take it in terms of detailing. If you want it for close shots I guess it could use more greebles, but it's pretty good already.

Thanks
I guess I will stick with the textures for now, as I couldn't find alot of close-ups on the BC from the cinematics, so for now I will just assume that all the hi-tech parts are below the NeoSteel plating because of the altmost-complete lack of shields(in-game they are non-existent)on the Behemoth. Anyways, I will try to lower the contrast and reduce the number of plates on the textures after I examined those pictures again... also gotta add some details on the wings(look at the front picture here).

Looks pretty good! i never got into starcraft, too early for me i guess, but it does look like the pictures i have seen. A couple tips though. Your renders are a bit flat and dark. I would use AO for your renders, it will show much more detail that way. Also Image shack blows, its slow and ads are annoying. I'd recommend photobucket.

Thanks again
About the detail - I guess the only things that are hard to see atm are the plates on the wings... that model is <29k polys in total and most of the detail is just the major geometry... anyways that's the case with the Blizzard model aswell but they have those killer textures...
About Starcraft - it's never too late to get familiar with it
Just be carefull as it can be quite addictive but I guess that applies to most games out there

blender

Gotta hate school...
Ok, here's a small update. Mostly lowered the color value(a.k.a. lowered contrast) and the normals. Also added some lights and detailed the "wings" a little bit more but the windows aren't done as of yet(gotta learn light maps).

Thank you!
Still, there are some things missing like parts of the skeletal texture and the above-mentioned windows...
Just in case anybody's wondering why the lights on the wings(those are actually docking bays I guess) look odd, those are suppposed to be forcefields. I actually came up with that effect by an accident. When I finally ran Yafray some time ago, the front blue lights looked more like the ones on the original(blizzard) ship as they were area-mapped(that in the Blender internal engine of course). That was the case with the dock lights and they pretty much just illuminated the area without any "grain"-like effects. In Yafray the front blue lights just wouldn't cut it but I actually liked the way they illuminated the hangars and when I found out at the Wiki that there were no doors but force-fields, I thought that it pretty much solved my problem...
Anyways, Ice-Dragon, I guess the link to the XTM mod in your sig means that you're a part of the developement team. If that's the case, then, well...
Think the 1st sentence in my post but in caps and a #@$#load of "!"s after it It's kinda the best out there
