| This is a Chandelier Spider, Megavitrea saltacida, a giant glass spider. It is an active hunter, using it's very good sight to track prey, and it's long and powerful legs to pounce from a distance of up to 30 meters. It is considered endangered because of over-hunting. It's vitreus abdomen was considered a status item when tanned and hung as a chandelier in large houses. It is a close relative of Megahyala suffirio – Wen’s Peacock spider, in the family Crystalidicae, order Gemmaoidea, in the Arachnida class. ----- This is just a WIP, and I think I'll change the legs to make them shorter and stockier. I may add some decorations to the body as well. ----- Wen-M is a real inspiration, and I just had to create a homage to this illustration: http://wen-m.deviantart.com/art/Anim...pider-88807667 |

| I tweaked the legs to make them bend a little more like real spiders, and I fixed the bit maps on the abdomen. Because a friend complained, I added a couple of items for scale. This spider has just finished subduing a donkey. |
