sweet work with the shuttle-doors and especially with the impulse.

I know that these are not for 360°, yet I wonder what the sense might be to have some far on the end and some in the centre. I mean, the ship's broad, very broad, okay, but is it really so broad that it needs more than just 2 tubes?

Well... It's a nice start, but seriously: is it so rectangular because you want it to be, or because you can't make curved hulls yet? And I'd let the saucer follow the "curvature" of those rows of windows and escape pods, as to give it a slightly more sharper feeling. Right now she looks kind of... bulky... while it isn't necesary.

The nacelle launchers cover an arc that is blocked by the nacelles themselves...

As far as the curves go I felt it necesary to skip curved lines as to distinguish these warships from the usual sexy curves of Starfleet explorer type vessels. This also gets played into my story line where these ships are built at a secret facility of which isn't entirely sanctioned...so there is a clear line of difference in these ships and typical Starfleet ships. It was planned.... While I still haven't mastered curves to perfection, I never planned on Avenger being curvy.

As far as curves go. Avenger was not planned with curves in mind. This was specific. Leave the curves for the sexy explorer type vessels. Avenger is a warship. Built far away from the Federation ship yards at a secret facility thats not entirely sanctioned, this all gets worked into a story I'm writing along with the model. These line of ships demonstrate a clear line of seperation from normal Starfleet ships on purpose.

Would it be better to use treknobable to explain it and just say that Neutronuim hull armor can't be cut into curves and needs strait lines....?

No. The point is that practically everything in existence (except for diamond) can be bended a bit. The hull of a starship isn't cut into curves: you take a frame and weld the hull plates on top of it, no need to bend them.

Sorry, it was meant to be a joke. I'm glad my thread is here for you to prove another point like I didn't already know that.

So much negativity, let this guy do what he wants to do with his project.
You may think this is the ugliest thing in the universe, but others appreciate it.
Besides this guy is just barely starting this project, before you start critizing why don't you see where this project goes and see how this ship turns out.

Nice updates on the Warp/Impulse Engines. The idea of having a Energy emitter array is cool along with having Torpedo launchers on the warp nacelles.
