STII-STVII Rank Pins for Poser

I just figured out an ingenious way of making props in Poser without bothering to actually build a mesh
Its a cheap shortcut, but it does the job pretty well. I Just make a primitive, squash it size, and load an appropriate texture map and trans-map combo. highly effective and all that.

So im doing the same with all the various rank pins seen in the Star Trek movies, and any references would be greatly appreciated.

Not bad, but the oval bar (or whatever it should be) is usually rectangular and square to the white outlines of the stripe.

The fastener on the strap underneath the rank pin should be rectangular. See here:

actually I think that the marines have been around since the inception of Star Fleet if Im not mistaken. They just werent really seen in the series. Im positive I have read more than one book with the marines in it.

Well, the MACOs were Marines, in TOs, we haven't seen any and in the most TMP-era films neither. TNG had some hints to them and in DS9 they were oftenly seen fighting in combat in the Dominion War. Voy hadn't them in TV, only as an extention in a game. Elite Force...

See the Shadows of Darkness, Hear the Scream of Cruelty...
