Heavy Gun Boat??

I just started playing around with sketch up and figured I had a good enough idea to post and get some feed back.

no back groud story as of yet and Im not sure im going to stick with this design.

thus it does not please me so much. it is very triangular. you should work some more on it.

Hmm, interesting but I have to agree with Stephan, too triangular, but for a slightly different reason.

Mine is simple... Looks like a paper aeroplane at an distance except "really close" By my calcs anything more than about 100 metres away and you're looking at a paper projectile

Reality is like a kick in the balls, you see something you like and WHAM.

yes thats it: it's looking like a paper aeroplane. and thats what i haven't realised but thats it.
anyway i do belive that there are only some small changes needed and you'll get the gunboat feeling you wanted.

Pretty good start. I think the only thing of the design that makes it look like a paper airplane are those "wings". They're too pointy imo. Otherwise the problem is sketchups lines that look like folds in paper from a distance.

Changed up the Dorsal plateing and the signal bridge section on the fin.
