I like the wings, I think they help tie that lower pod to the rest of the ship... Looks pretty cool so far...

Another update... I'm stuck . I can't find any good way to create the panels. I tried Medkoifish's tut on paneling but it makes problems with the mesh smooth modifier.
b.t.w I saw a UFO yesterday. It was quite exciting. It was about 12:30 AM when me, my girlfriend and another friend went back home. We crossed the road when we suddenly saw A yellowish light flying fast towards east. Next to the yellow light from the left there was another blue light that was very unique. It wasn't look like an airplane light and it wasn't blinking. after 2 or 3 seconds it suddenly shift his course and went strait up and disappeard. It was an amazing experience.

Changed the front of the ship.
I also started to work on the engine area.

I have a feeling I'm really going to enjoy watching this design develop...I have some crits/suggestions...however, since the model is still so raw I'll hold off until I see where you take it as you may already be thinking about the improvements I have in mind..Your design thus far is wonderful and it seems very similar to my own design philosophy...Great work!

I like how this develops... You might try to show us a bit bigger renders as well. As for those artefacts goes, it seems like smoothing errors. Cutting the panels results in a lot of unnecesary vertexes quite often. You might want to re-check those panel and remove them it some are there. Or just try to play around with smoothing alone...

btw: Damn I want to see an UFO as well.

sorceress21 - I'd love to hear your crits and suggestions. I believe it could only help.
Tinukedaya - here is A big render. I checked the vertexes where the artifact appears and you were right. there were mesh errors. I fixed them, yet there still seems to be something that bothers the eye.
I took a little break from the ship in order to create some greebles that i'll use on it.

Well the lower "pod" structure...has a shape that seems to be too organic compared to the rest of the vessel, not sure I have any useful suggestions on that yet. And I'd like to see some kind of "bulk up" structure added to the connecting spine between the fore and aft hull areas. That section needs more vertical development to even out the design's flow. And this ship won't need a lot of greebleing..it's a sleek design that won't be complimented by too much functionless detail.
