Well, before you start anything else, your registry is off: TOS doesn't use the new Federation font, I'm not sure though which font it is. For the rest it looks like a good start, will it be pre- or past TOS?

it's a place holder reg, well the number isn't, just the font style still looking for a more TOS-Lean too style. thinking Post Tos/ Pre-TMP. basically a Hermes/saldin with some changes. you can't see it well in the pics, but the connection for the pylon is on top, that's the next part to be built, then the saucer section.

I may tweak the Nacelle more, but took me almost a week of fartiing around....working on this to be happy with this version.

OK, so i started a little work on it this morning, redid the font (it may change yet again, but luckily it's justa texture change atm), filled in the strip as a test, not sure if i like te open stripe or the losed better yet. some details missing on naccelle still, will add them soon.added the connction pylon and deflector dish, very low poly and need of lot's of work, and i placed a placeholder saucer (minus the bridge section).

ok, just a little minor things, change the stripe back to open for now, added the aft exhaust to the nacelle, added the flush vents to the neck (with a temp texture for it), and a few windows, as this is more than just a warp pylon, it's also workable space. and i agree, the saucer was to small, so increased it's size a tad as well. next up, the deflector dish area needs some love, then on to the saucer and the bridge module.

Hmm...out with the old, in with the new. one of the glaring obvious missing details from the old destroyers was the missing shuttle bay, I had a few ideas about this floating around in my head. one was to stick on on one side of the impulse engine, but i thought that's look unbalanced. next was to stick 2 small ones, one on either side of the impulse engine, but then i thought that close to the impulse engine would be a dangerous place to try and land. so I figured, why not on the neck, but here, the problem is the size of the neck. how did i solve that? well, I extended a point out and built a small shuttle bay (and i mean small, 2-3 shuttle comfortably in the bay itself and maybe 2-3 more in the lower storage area)

this lead me to the idea, that this could be the first refit of the old Destroyers, so in that essence, i placd a small experimental new deflector array on the same plane as the shuttle bay, but as this refit would be before TMP, it had to have a twang of old look to it, so i think i balanced it a bit so far. note this is all preliminary, lot's of detail and work to go yet. as this maybea refit, i may incorporate a few TMP details intot he saucer as well, not alot, but some smaller ones.
