Attempt at Architecture

Its been a very long time since I posted ANY new work here, so I figured i would post what I've been messing around with. I started talking a sculpture class at school and it gave me inspiration to do some architecture-ing. So anyway, my current project. Its about 720 meters tall, 780 including the antennae, this could change how ever. This is more of a texturing practice than anything, but I do intend to finish it.

Temp window textures by SGA

Anyway here it is

On first glance, the lower textures make the building look like a very ornate conatiner for holding coffee beans. (sorry!)

Cool building, but would be improved by he addition of several satellite towers.

Pretty cool, reminds me of the boiler house chimney at York University.

Ha ha, just at first glance it looked like the base was a glass bowl filled with brown beans!

-Otherwise-

thought it looked a bit stark on it's own, if it had a series of smaller but similar towers in like a city block arrangement it would make it looked lived in, just a thought, like the smaller towers around the world trade center main towers? - but having said that, there are *not* a whole series of smaller eifel towers at the base of the main one in Paris, so perhaps forget about it?

@Armodikov: That's one hell of an ornate boiler-house chimney you have there!

I'd change the way, the windows look. make em transparent, allow a view inside and add some beams extra beams to carry those windows. the ring at the bottom doesn't seem to have any function, therefore get rid of it.
also, the current symmetry doesn't make an entrance obvious. where would you put that?

Very nice idea - but I also wish you'd change windows a little bit and add some supports for them - so they would be more outlined...
