On the Lego bandwagon...

I've seen some excellent Lego models on this forum, so I thought I'd take a stab at one myself.

Here are the first two steps. I'm planning on adding a little "LEGO" to the studs eventually.

How do you guys get the lego looking right, i have been trying for ages but its tricky trying to mesure the different blocks,

I used these images for the dimensions of the bricks on my tie fighter model and just eyeballed the dimensions against each other for the more complex shaped pieces.

This should help you somewhat (edit: ah, beaten to it)

If you're having trouble visualising certain pieces, Lego's website has a free program called Digital Designer which lets you build models from a decent selection of bricks. I've been using that to get references on pieces I don't actually have to hand.

oh my god!!! I was looking for images like that for more than half of the year! And you show them now? Now, whem I sized up all bricks I have at home????? It took me 3 days sketching and writting proporcions to paper!!!
