Nice job as always 4MM. I've debated doing updates based on switching to the new plans. I've found the best way to deal with the little voice in my head telling me to do this is to kneel on it's windpipe until it stops making that noise.

That would benefit Tallguy's project more that it would benefit building the 1701.

It seems I have concerned a few people with that tidbit. It was late and I probably should have not made it (or atleast given more detail). In any event my youngest daughter had some dificullty breathing the other night so we took her to the emergency room. It's under control and they are running some tests to see what is going on. I thank you (and others) for your concern.

Most kind and I think you again. But to tell the truth, I'm just plodding through this thing as I always do.

Oh I know. And I didn't mean to suggest that you had but that subject is a long running one and always sparks posts filled with more information that you'd ever want to know (unless of course you DO want to know it). I too find it interesting to read about the opinions on both sides.

Not to fear, your Enterprise is just fine the way it is. Not having studied the previous revisions I can't say for sure how much has changed but you keep crushing that voice's windpipe as you have more interesting projects going on. I assume you are still going to pursue your update of "Balance of Terror". Yes?

No progress to report due to real life and a decision I need to make about the portside window arrangement. Sinclair's plans show the windows as they are on the 11 footer but I may add a few to the forward portside group (where there are currently only two rectangular windows). I very much doubt I'll make both sides completely symmetrical but I may make them more so than what presently exist in the plans.

Thanks for the thoughts. For us they are calling it seasonal respiratory something or other. But she's back to breathing normally so all is well. Whew!

I did manage some time last night to finish the window and non-window cutouts around the rim. What I ended up doing was to mirror the forward starborad windows to the port side. Everything else is as shown on the plans. The circular windows on the rim are bigger than they look here. The camera angle, "window pane" and the hull all combine to make what looks like pinholes. When they are in fact almost as tall as the rectangular windows. What you can't see here is the main upper structural skeleton but that's not ready for prime time yet...

That last one was just me goofing around.

Pretty sure it would be covered under fair use.
