X-304 Daedalus reloaded - Scifi-Meshes.com

You may know my first Daedalus mesh (X-304 Daedalus).
The mesh is about one year old and I thought there are many things I would do different now so I started modeling a new and also much more accurate one.
I really compare each and every detail 20 times to the references before I go to the next, that's why it took me some hours each day one week to get where I'm now.
Now each part of the ship has exactly the correct size. And I mean really the correct size

since it fits perfectly into every screencap i tried!

But it's still very much to do like the whole bottom side, the details on top, beveling all edges,...

At the moment I just finished the details on top of the hangar bay and I'm now going to make the hangar bay doors.

Also added a turntable, available here

i really like your old version on Daedalus, it was really nice!
Now you are doing the studio model, and this is awesome!

It's so funny, the artist modeled about 20 different panels which he kept using repeatedly all over the hole ship

It's just difficult to find out which one he used in which place since they often have very different focal lengths in the shots. But once you fond out which panel it is, everything fits perfect, didn't have to scale anything till now!

I love modeling this ship :P, but i'ts taking terribly much time to find the right panel, so not much progress yet.

panels on the right side of the "roof" ..thing.. whatever...

Dude, I love this

I was beginning to think that the Battlestar Galactica was my new favorite ship, but this has renewed my love for the Daedalus-Class.
