It's a Cruiser, 2 big guns mounted on the sides as you can see. An array of smaller rail-guns for Point Defence. I figured as rail-guns are so ineffective in Stargate that they would be reduced to the role of point defence by then. Two barrels, basically spam the area with small, high velocity shells. There's also some small hatches on the bow for more weapons. But I don't *think* you can see them on these renders. Anyway enough about the guns. We all want to see pictures right? It's my first attempt at a clay render in Max. I think it's turned out okay. Although any faces which are exactly 90 degrees to the camera look like blank faces. Don't know why that happens but I'm fairly sure it's a lighting problem. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Vanguard was started in Sketchup a long time ago, and was moved to Max when I converted. I still have alot to do, but I think she's coming along nicely. |

The big guns are energy weapons, yes. The engines are based off ones found on a WIP of Tadz' Severus. I tried both Daedalus and Prometheus style engines on it also, but they didn't look right. So I stuck with the ones you see now. | |

It's an escort ship I am developing for it, to use in renders with Vanguard when I get round to it. It's much smaller and is... unique I think in Stargate designs. I may be wrong though. She's called UESF Liverpool. Don't ask why. :P ![]() ![]() I don't know if I want to make the windows smaller or not. What do you think? Apart from the windows, I'm happy with the design. Not sure how detailed I want to go as it is only meant to be a background ship. |

But i like the ship, interesting SG-style design. |
