Some more Low-Poly BSG ships.

Hey guys,

I'm working on a few more low-poly BSG ships.

This one is a low-poly version of SomaCruz's Erebus, as seen in his thread.


The other is a Terran Battlecruiser from Starcraft, reslated for BSG duty. I know its a rip from another universe, but its working out so well, its hard to give up. She's called the Hecatoncles.

I'm working on reribbing and repaneling, the last version was too low-detail.
Furthermore, I'm going to be adding more details to make it more BSG-Esque.

I like it... I'm just wondering in what capacity it'll serve... it is a small military patrol ship, or a freighter, or a escort? What is it's role, and what size do you see it being?

Seriously the other ship looks very cool. I think you could make the guns more like the ones on battlestars and add vertical fins (just because Vipers have them)

I'm thinking it'll serve as destroyer. A dedicated gunstar that serves in a wolf-pack. three or four would serve along with a small battlestar. The battlestar would provide fighter screens while the Hecatoncles-class destroyers would outflank any basestars and destroy them.

Essentially its a small anti-capital ship platform.

the cannons on the end of the wings? Vertical wings where?

Sweet dude some ideas-- a open landing bay in the front. Add detail to the guns on the wings and increase the size of the engines. They look a little to small for the superstructure.

I think he is referring to the top and bottom sections on the front and the main engine hull as those places would be very vunerable to attack other wise.....

Personaly i love starcraft ships.... never realy see any models of them though....

I don't think I want this guy to carry fighters, except maybe a raptor on an external mount (like a helipad on a real-life DDG).

I do plan on remaking those rods at the end of the wings, It just hasn't come to me how.

The increasing of the engine size might be a good call, though.
