Think about the same size as the space of a deck. protruding from the hull probably about .15 or .2 meters.

Wow, Vektor you are a god
One question to Roop; your site states 650.000 metric tons for this beauty, and while it sure is polite to don't tell someone how much she really weights, I think the Grandeur does not look smaller than an intrepid class vessel, which is 1.000.000 metric tons (if I remember correct). Or do they have large recreation areas inside?

Well there is always a chance we could have made a mistake, I will try and do more research on it and see what we come up with. All else should be within specs.

Thanks for taking the time to point that out, nice to know we have some that check that sort of thing out.

By the way have you taken the Grandeur poll? Another way to see what people think of the ship that Vektor is doing. GrandeurPoll

I finally managed to get some work done on the underside of the saucer...

And here's an alternate version of the inner phaser array that I'm trying to decide if I like better:

This is the furthest along this part of the ship has ever been in any of its design iterations and the first time I've been truly happy with it. Seems like she's finally coming together after all this time.

its a sweet design I love it it looks a lot like the USS Gojira I designed in MS paint a few years back ive lost the pic in a HDD crash but the Gojira was far bigger it was 800 meters long and there are plenty of differances but the basic designs are close enough this could be the Gojira is it was bigger and had a few alterations. Keep it up Vector

Vektor, I'll keep the first kind of phaser (it gives a better sense of "movement" in the saucer... Just my 2c )

Thank you, namaste and good luck www.jagthesite.com____Ramielarium____My Blog!
