Pokemonfleet, while I'm sure everyone can appreciate your enthusiasm, 'hijacking' Vektor's thread (or anyone else's threads for that matter) with your technical debate and fanfiction is not really good form, especially since, as far as I can see, the connection between them and the topic at hand is marginal at best.

And before we even go there, no, no one's telling you not to make suggestions or not write fanfiction. It's just that the suggestions should be just that... suggestions for the author to consider and then to implement or ignore as he sees fit, not a big debate that has very little to do with the actual end product. The fanfiction should be in a thread of its own, preferably in the Writers' Forum, where people can comment on it based on its own merits, rather than those of Vektor's impressive design.

As far as reporting critics to the mods, disagreeing is not abusive or against the Terms of Service, and frankly at the moment it seems you're being the most disruptive player in the thread.

Respect the authors' right to their own projects. You can make suggestions and ask questions, but don't derail threads just to get your point across. It's not your call to make. Also, try not to hijack threads with your own projects. This thread is about Vektor's ship and whatever else he may come up with during the process. It's not about your fanfiction, unless told otherwise by Vektor. Again, the author's decision.

Thanks for reading.

No, I'm pretty certain that Vektor isn't going to release this ship to the general public. Actually, I'd be surprised if he lets anyone have a copy of it. I was surprised as hell when I asked for an outline of the bridge module so that I could check to see if the bridge set would fit in there and he sent me the whole bridge module itself. This project was started for and by the folks at the U.S.S. Grandeur RPG and, as far as I know, its use will be limited to them only.

But, hey, we can dream, can't we?

While we all appreciate eveyone's interest in this ship and all of the suggestions being offer I will reinterate pretty much what has been said; this ship is limited (in its uses) to The Granduer club and crew, with exceptions to a select group of key personal on the Grandeur-A project.

As most of you know steps are being taken when all is said and done to have this as a phyisical model and in kit form, as well as other possible ways to expand its use. Base on feedback and from polls taken thus far there are some that will most certainly want this as a model.
I have a poll on Granduer's forum but you must join the forum to take that poll, I am also working on another poll on Grandeur's website, for those that do not want to join Grandeur's form.
One correction that Nightshadow made is that we are not an RPG group We belong to the IFT an international Star Trek Fan Organization known as the International Federation of Trekkers.

You do not have to be a member of the ship to be on the project, if interested check out the project page available below. I do not want to say to much about the project here as this thread is primarily for the design of the ship itself, with some interaction of the interior bridge module. Not sure if Nightshadow will continue with a seperate thread on the bridge and Ready Room on this board. Thanks to everyone for all the great comments so far.

If you have comments or questions about the project in general e-mail or PM me, thanks.

I would love a physical model. I used to build them but I haven't done any in awhile but this would give me a great excuse to start one, if you do a kit, I'd buy one. I'll check you site out but I don't know anything about RPG's.

Thanks again for your comments Lonewriter but let me state one more time we are NOT an RPG group many think we are and we are not :-) To be honest I myself do not know a lot about RPGing either, never tried it.

We use to do a lot more then what we do now, as,like a lot of IFT ship/chapters we use to be local and held local meetings come up with ways to help out in our community and the list could go on. Most of the crew had to end up leaving the state and thus we sort of broke up locally, but to some degree stayed together as a ship/chapter through the internet.
More of a cyber chapter within the IFT now, there are a couple of us around, most are still local.

If people are interested in wanting to know more our website can help some or just e-mail or PM me for futher questions, I really do not want to tie up this thread with questions that do not concern things unrelating to the design of this ship, or comments about the ship itself. Be happy to answer any questions on the Grandeur forum itself should you want to join it.
