View Full Version : Challenge #6 Spudmonkey - Chair II: Chairmaggedon the Musical

I'm leaving the other chair in its own thread as it's a little picky about what it shares its thread with, and this one was a step too far for the poor, comfortable little recliner...

This should be pretty self-explanatory... Or perhaps not... You will just have to see where I'm going with this if you can't work it out from the rough sketch...

Prototype to check that things will work... Yes, I'm being a little cryptic on this one, but I promise I will share things shortly...!

You were right to put the Naughty sign in that image! We did not ask for sex chairs here :D

Sex chair?! Recreational comfort and enhancement system, please!

With shapes comes form... The front is a little long and the shapes are placeholders, but perhaps now more becomes clear...

Think I might start again with this as it just doesn't flow that well... Might try again tomorrow when it's not so late

Interesting start. Its like the chair from the tumbler (batman begins)

I find it best to do the sketch sometime in the afternoon, preferably after a day full of boring work. You'll release all the piled up creativity of the day into a single thing! After that you can work the whole night and stay motivated by the fact that the design works out :) err..well that's how I do it...

Good luck with this!

Only crit would be the sreen in the upright position... must be uncomfortable to crane your neck upwards like that!

Cool modelling. The design makes me thing of one of those workout machines. Seems like good training for you belly muscles.

I've run out of patience with this for now, so there's a strong chance that the other chair will be my final entry... I might come back to it but I've got some low poly interior work to do and I'm back at work on Wednesday so time will be limited

Complete change of direction... Something much simpler in design. Should be pretty easy to model, so I can go to town on the textures and details. There will be some screens too, though I haven't worked out if they will be static or hovering too yet..

Ok, first steps...

LOL you fling these things out dontcha!

looking quite cool, both of them, you certainly seem to be replete with ideas this week! :D

19th Jun 2007, 14:31
I've been oddly prolific this week, which is nice, but I did have some other stuff to do too. Luckily I managed to get nearly all of it done though :)

More detail!!!!! Some of the textures are temporary
