LOL...that "saucer" is actually a sensor array like an AWACS and spins, the bridge is that suspended object under the sensor array...I'll post some more soon

Hey A-Man! I have a request...This design is just too cool, but I'm curious what it would look like if you lost the saucer, took it out of the trek universe and made it into something completely outside the realm of your normal brilliance...Without the saucer it looks straight out of Robotech or Gundam..

The wing and nacelle arrangement reminds me of a streamlined B52. While the saucer is a sensor platform and not a collection of ship decks, to me this ship looks like a better NX design--its got an obvious aesthetic link with Enterprise, but with a subtle nod to the times that birthed ST:TOS. It feels like a starship designed by engineers who learned their trade in aeronautics--it will take another generation or two to shed the aircraft design habits.

It's a beautiful design, though, regardless of my misinterpretation of it.
