Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to show around my drawings of a federation ship design i made up myself.

I'd be interested in your opinions, too!
Greetings, PercyKeys.
Its sleek and well detailed. How about other views?

I like. It has a lot of potential I think.
There are several things that caught my eye though that you might think about changing.
The first one is just probably personal preference, but I don't care for the hull detailing. I can tell that some of it is supposed to be windows and that's fine, but the other more random details, around the main phasers and the bridge, just doesn't work for. Like I said though it's just a personal preference so if you like it then by all means keep it.
You need a set of RCS thrusters on the engineering hull near the tail. I would also suggest moving some of the thrusters on the saucer. Move one set closer to the bow, the second set along the straight edge of the saucer to the curve, and then just leave the thrusters on the tip of the saucer where they are.
Where are the impulse engines? I think I see where they might be, but they don't exactly look the part.
Also what's the torpedo load on this ship? I see what could be up to 10 launchers include a burst fire turret, more then half of which face aft. That's overkill, even if the ship is designed to take on Borg Cubes by itself.
And one last thing, your registry number is missing a digit. This ship looks to be severing sometime after Nemesis and by that time, ship registries are over 75000; if not 80000. something like NX-83880 would be more fitting.
That's it I think. Overall I really like it, (particularly the design of your nacelles) and the things I mentioned are just small cosmetic touches, rather then large gaping design flaws.

Thanks.
@ DeRo: Unfortunately, there are no other views...
@ JimiJames: I agree with some of your points, but I rather keep the drawing as it is instead of taking the risk of makin' it worse. :-)
The registry resembles my birthdate - I know that it should be higher. ;-)
I made some "Blueprints" - hope you like 'em.

I'm wondering if theres an experienced modeller who'd like to try to make a 3d-model of the ship...

Hey PercyKeys, Is this ship is part of Project: Voyager? You know, ships designed to return to the Delta Quadrant using technologies brought back from Voyager designed by Admiral Kathryn Janeway and Dr. Seven of Nine. And will the motto be "Never Give Up, Never Surrender"?

Never Give Up, Never Surrender That's your motto, heh? You've been told often enough but you still technobabble.

Actually No - but the idea is tempting.
Never heard of "Project: Voyager" before - which ships e.g. are part of it?
And will the motto be "Never Give Up, Never Surrender"?
Man - I watched the movie several times but never came up with that - maybe I'll use it for the dedication badge. ;) :thumb:

I'd love to see this one under the command of Captain Morgan Bateson, resurrected from TNG's "Cause & Effect" & "Ship Of The Line" by Diane Carey

Just a minor point, there was already a "Federation" class, and trek hs yet to reuse a class nomliclature.
other than that. it's looking interesting.

Falin: I'd use "Navajo-Class" as its never been used to my knowledge ~anywhere~ including ShipSchematics.Net, the king of kitbashes or at "S.T.: Australia".

@ All & especially Nell3D: Sorry that I've overseen your posts... I didn't pay attention to this thread since I've tried to model the ship on my own...
http://www.scifi-meshes.com/forums/3d-wips/38855-uss-protector-ivory-class-nx-8388-a-6.html
Due to lack of time I've passed it over to The Aniamaniac.
@ Nell3D: He volunteered a month before your request - if he wouldn't have volunteered i'd have chosen you.
@ All: Stay tuned - as I'm informed he's about to finish the ship next week! :D
And believe me it's gonna be great - since he's granted me a sneak preview...
