I make this Stargate with Autocad (.dwg) 2d. Give me your opinion:
Dimensions:
Inside diameter: 4 meters
Outside diameter: 4.72 meters
Width of the ring: 0.72 meters :D

I'm no stargate fan but that is beautifully rendered.

Great Job. Looks almost exactly like an original gate. Nicely done. Keep up the good work.:thumb:

Thanks a lot. I will try to do the same with the SG-1 gate.
This is not a render picture, I made it using color shadows (blue-grey):)

looking nice, but scale isn't. not sure, if it was inside or outside, but one of both was 6 meter large.

My only complanit would be from a fan perspective. the wrong symbols are present.

though one could always state that it was a custom gate built for the New SGC after it went public, based off the Atlantis designs.

nice work, especially for autocad!

I would question your maths tho ;)

If the inner diameter is 4m and the outer is 4.72m, then the width of the ring is 0.72/2 = 0.36m

Edit: Unless of course you mean radius and not diameter

Well, I made a mistake giving the dimensions' gate.
Inside diameter: 4 meters
Outside diameter: 5.44 meters
Width of the ring: 0.72 meters

If someone knows the "real dimension" it can be changed in a few senconds, isn't a problem.

@Peragrin. The real gate it´s made with points-simbols I know, but when i do the work I haven't any information about this gate, so, sorry. I will change it and do all views.

Well, these are the Gates of Stargate, I've changed it. I need the side and back view to make it all , if anyone can give me some pictures...:D.
I don't mine to give my work when I finish it, only putting my nick on your works I'll be congratulated.

awesome. you did great work on those stargates.

since you have them in autocad does that mean prototyping has begun ;)

Of course... But I need to find all views most clear that I have to make it "perfect" xD.
I'm watching again some chapters to find snapshots that show me what I want...

Heh... why you have 9 chvrons? Stargate have only 7....
The symmetry of the Gate consists of 9 sectors, of there that there are 9 chevrones, in the series and the movie the two chevrones below are covered always by the structures ambles.

They have even used 8 chevrons to dial another galaxy before, sort of like an area code. They haven't used the 9th chevron. Yet.....
