Heya there folks! :p

This is my first post and thread here at these forums so forgive me for failing to send things here and there that I may have to...

well in any case;
My good old friend Hathaway suggested that I'd post my 2d drawings of my own starship: the "USS Starshine" here xD
So that's what I did here :)

I have bigger images in my comp, but since I'm using Photoshop as uploading site (free site) I can't have all images in their real size... so if someone would be interested in bigger versions - just tell me :P

What do u think? (Yes it's done in paint and yes - I don't have a life:rolleyes:)

btw it would be awesome if someone could model it for me (I can't model maself... barely beginning to grasp photoshop... 3dsmax is still way out of my league >_<)

Apologizing btw for the not-completed-"bottom"-view :(

Welcome aboard.

Interesting shape so far. Some of the window stips seem to be misplaced. They are not following the direction of hull fall (Usually the windows bottom lines are parallel to the ending sides of the hull, if you look from above. Got me?) which makes them look strange.

What are the red things under and on the aft of the nacelle? I take it the yellow thing is the Bussard ramscoop. The blue part is way too small. The blueish parts are used to be the "spillports" fro what makes the Warpdrive possible.

Add two small phaser strips on the aft of the upper saucer, every post TMP starship has them there. And flatten the engineering hull more, this way it looks like the ship is pregnant.

Looking forward for more. :thumb:

Tkz for the comment lol - Or should I say Danke vielmahls? ;) <- woops it's "vielmals" xD
well about the "red things" on the bottom of the nacelles...
I drew this ship like 3 years ago xD and it was the first star trek ship I ever was "serious about" (done many of them now lol)
and when I designed the nacelles, I thought that I could have some extra bussard collectors there... or something :rolleyes:

And I know about the windows too - I hate to draw them in paint! xD:rolleyes:

Does the ship really look pregnant?
When I put up this ship on stonet it almost immediatly got into the "ships of the line" area. The people there thought that the engineering section was perfect :p

Still - Thanks for the comment :D

Very Intrepid design yet sleek and sexy. Dunno about the big red bits on the underside of the nacelles. Otherwise awesome. :thumb: Can't wait to see it in 3D, that is if you yourself do it or request someone else to do it.

vielmals, then it's right. Cheers anyway ;)

Well, the engineering section looks just a bit too big in relation to the rest of the ship (especially the saucer).

Lol I spelled Vielmals wrong xD (I have relatives with whom I speak german lol)
anyway;

I designed the starshine to be a solo ship. She can go deep within enemy / unexplored space. When I drew the first scetch of her, I put those "red things" there on the nacelles in the thought that "these can give extra speed in some strange way that no one has ever heard of xD :rolleyes:)

And about the request that someone makes a 3d rendering of it...
Where do I file / put that request?:confused:

I guess you can put it forth in the 3D WIPs board.;)

Yeah, there should be the best place.
But I would suggest to erase the lower part of engineering. Some pixels below the deflector. You should not give to much attack area. ;)
