Challenge #9 - Dan - Communications Satellite

This is my first attempt at one of these Challenges. My idea is a teardrop shaped satellite. Attached is a sketch of ideas, the one I'm making is the bottom middle one. Hopefully, with all the added parts with will still fit the criteria.

Here is what I have so far. I've got the shape and the reaction control thrusters at the bottom. It's sort of a 'reverse' teardrop shape.

interesting! Are you going to add solar panels?

Thanks. I am adding solar panels, though I'm not sure whether to do the usual long solar panels or smaller ones that conform to the shape of the satellite.

Update time. Added some solar panels, and other little bits.

love those solar panels but maybe make them bigger?

why they look like there are the kind that are 80% efficent :P not like the low 27% we have now :D

Here's a new render, added some dishes and an access hatch and at Dallidas' suggestion I've embiggened the solar panels.

How do I put this delicately? With those dishes, it looks ... um ... cute.

Come to think of it, they do look like Mickey Mouse ears. I better move them before I have Disney on me
