Forgive the crappy sketch. I dusted off my Wacom after not touching it for about two years. I'm a little wonky with the plastic pen.
This is a worker/repair pod. It can be used in vertical or horizontal orientation. I man crew, two if need be. Don't know much else. Will just have to see where this goes...

I'll be disappointed if there's no "dude" inside. Even if it's just a "guy" in there, and not a "dude," I'll be sad. :)

I'll do up some renders without the scribbles here soon.

thx for comments!:D
Here's a bigger update. Added a bunch of details.
I'm going to make the rivets on the main body smaller to balance out the scale of the aft portion.
I will be working on the manipulator arms next. Never modeled something like them, so they might look a little wonky. We'll see.
I'll be adding a some more renders in a short bit.

Thanks! Mongo needs hands now. I don't care too much for the arms, but they'll do. Need to get to finishing this thing. Textures...ugh.

I've added a entry hatch to the control pod. I'm gonna close up the seams on the dome. I think they are too wide. Hopefully I can finish some few minor details soon, so I can start to texture this guy. That's my weak point. I've never really sat down and textured a model, but this should be some good practice.

My first impression on those last pics was that it's R2D2's evil cousin! :D
Cool!

Thanks guys.
I've repainted this body portion 1.7 million times and am going to settle and move ahead. Wore down my Wacom pen down to a nub.

I don't care for the black parts...needs a little more definition. maybe someday i will get back to detailing, but i'm just gonna keep truckin' for now.

I am in the process of reworking the textures. That set me back a bit. Ah, the folly of being a texturing noob-tard.
Here is my entry with simple toon/placeholder textures. It's as final as it's gonna get for the moment. :D
