This is what I use at work for concept renders. This is NOT the only way to create a scene like this, but this is what I use so I wanted to share it with the members here.


PDF File: I made this a PDF download because the it's best to print this out and have it next to you rather then trying to switch back and forth between Max and Acrobat.

Another very fast, though not so tidy way of getting an in production render, that doesnt require "so much" work would be mental rays Ambient Occulsion shader.

Dang it all to heck Aceman. I don't care about what you say but that is one cool looking spider. Yes I am arachnophobia but still that is one cool looking spider. And as for -MerlyN- your ship is very cool and I am jaw dropped over that.
