Peeked at the Eric Chu designs....Meh! I prefer the original models, esp of the UFO. Still a bit of BSG influence in his designs. Still, one hopes that this will be good!

Liked this as well when I was younger.

Where did you find the Eric Chu designs?

Thanks...

I seem to recall Anderson has been trying to do something like this for decades, literally. If he is involved, then it may it be fairly faithful to the original series.

As long as they don't screw it up like the way Hollywood has done with remakes of The Fog and The Amityville Horror!

Eric Chu stuff here...

Not really fond of the stubby missile on the redesigned Interceptor. Takes away so much of the originals silhouette.

Why does their version of the Interceptor remind me of a Viper?

Thanks very much for the link.

Don't like the new designs at all. The old designs were quite well designed and built, but then Derek Meddings was a master. Loved the old Skydiver 1, although the UFO's didn't look like they could carry any passengers inside. Hmmm... maybe I just don't like change, as I liked the old Thunderbirds, Jupiter 2, Enterprise TOS, etc.

Go figure, for the longest time, I thought Gerry Anderson had passed away, and Sylvia was running things. Checked IMDB, and (gasp), I was wrong.

You're welcome
Don't say you don't like change too loud or they'll accuse you for not liking the designs because they look too NuBSG. :)
Change is all fine and dandy but taking something that looks fine and had a reason for looking the way it did, then changing it is quite another.

If you read carefully, the Eric Chu illustrations were his personal take on the re-imagining.
Eric Chu is an incredible designer and his work on BSG was excellent, however Eric is not involved with the UFO production and his designs in no way reflect the direction that the production is going.

Next up - Space:1999 - now that would be a bummer.

Ufo could be nice, but that teaser poster is a bit disappointing.
