New pcs, vista, and other annoying things

Treat myself to a new PC on friday, a HP A6250, quad core, 3Gb Ram, Geforce 8400, 500Gb hard drive, so far so good.
Checked out the quick set up, plugged everything where it needed to go, including the very specific instructions where the monitor lead was meant to go.
I see a little not that says your screen maybe blank for 10-60 minutes, so I wait watching this blank screen for three hours.
Then I notice in the box is a little adaptor, it plugs into the monitor lead, and once thats in place you have to plug it in a different place to where the instructions tell you to put it, but once it was there, where they dont tell you to put it, and dont tell you to use the adaptor, the pc is up and running.
I hate Vista with a passion, and annoyingly enough, despite them telling me at comet my pc had a wireless conection built in, it didnt.
I had a spare USB wireless thing that I got with my router, so I stuck that in the back, and of course, Vista didnt have the driver installed, I didnt have the disk, and the only way to get the driver was to go online which I couldnt do without the wireless working, which it wouldnt until I had the driver.
I tried downloading the driver on my laptop, but since that was also vista, it just installed the driver in some obscure place where I could never find it, so had to end up downloading it on my old pc, transfering the file to a USB memory stick, installing that on the new one, then finally I could get an internet connection on my new pc.
Albiet one that disconnects every time the pc goes to screen saver.

| | Sounds like the people you got the PC off ripped you off re: wireless. Did you call up and complain? |

| | I would call up and say 'you said it came with built in wireless, so where the hell is my wireless?' |

| | No I never complained, I suppose they would just have said "well it dosnt say wireless on the box" so I only have myself to blame. |
