I suppose this will be my first entry of any kind here at scifi-meshes.com. I've been a member since mid 2006 and have enjoyed looking at all the awesome 3D projects that people here work on. Unfortunately I have not had a lot of time to work on something for myself, I am currently attending school and will be graduating with a degree in Physics and Mathematics in December, the 7th to be exact.

So it goes like this: the chosen package to use in Animation Mentor is the latest version of Maya. So here I am, a seasoned veteran of Blender (I know most aspects of the program and can use them somewhat efficiently) and now I'm looking to migrate to Maya. Well Im almost ready to start learning some blender or at least put some serious effort into doing it.

Im just doing the final touches to a Warhammer 40K Grand Tournament army, which will be completed by next weekend. Then I intend to start a Sister of Battle mesh.

The U.S.S. Enterprise. I will be doing a model of the Enterprise for my final project in Design. I don't currently have anything to post except this info. I will start up a thread in the WIP section tonight.

EDIT: UPDATE - I was just thinking about the fact that many of the members of this board are in the UK or outside the US, and therefore wondering do we do this on local time or US time. I think we should go by EST (New York) which is where the ownership of many of the networks reside.
