Not lose the teeth... but maybe switch to something more generic, like a few larger teeth, or a single tooth-plate that just has lines or notches in it to suggest individual teeth.

Nice start. I like the 'bot so far. Maybe you could make him smile or something. I dunno if you can do that.

The idea of Eoraptor about bigger teeth or "tooth-plate" is a good one. Something with teeths like shovel can't be demonic, eh?

I guess it has something to do with predators and herbivora. Where predators have more, smaller, sharp teeth, herbivora have big grinders. I guess ther are some exceptions , but those teeths make the robot look aggresive, i think.

I would also go with the tooth-plate.

I have always found that eyebrows go a long way to the overall feel of a charector. If they are angled right he can look very freindly. But with a slight move he can look very mean.

Eye size also helps on how young, or old and decrepid a character looks. Bigger eyes give an inocent look, kind of like in those corny old cartoons.

If you enlarge the head and give it child-like proportions(rounded cheeks) that will help it.
