| XMAS2006 - Concade - "Waiting For Santa"" After three days of racking my brain for ideas and designs, I have my direction. I'm literally working on bits and pieces of this, along with my other WIP, at a time. Sorry if Battlestars with Christmas hats start appearing in this thread! Anyways, for the "designer aim" for this task. I'm basically wanting to portray the traditional feel of the holidays - in this case Christmas - even in the elements of science fiction. I feel like there is a certain innocence and hope that I've always associated with Christmas, and I want to portray these things in one of the least likely of things... a robot. ---------------------------------- The story goes that Little Timmy 2.0 (don't ask what happened to the first Little Timmy) is sitting by the window on Christmas Eve. His parents are in the background by the fire (probably holographic) all cozy. Behind Timmy 2.0 is the traditional Christmas tree. Timmy 2.0 is waiting, eagerly, for Santa Claus to come and leave presents under his tree. ---------------------------------- I've started with Little Timmy 2.0, more specifically his head. He's a bit alien, due to his design and my lack of developed experience. Frankly, I'm just seeing where this goes. Enjoy! P.S. He should be getting a nose sometime... maybe... |

| Hey, we all knew robots would take over the Earth someday. Darn Apple and their tempting iPods. I'm going to add some form of eye lids for more emotional ranges, maybe that should tone down the eyes. Otherwise, how can you say no to a wide eyed innocent little robot? |
