XMAS2006- jay-mo - "goblin Christmas"

Well, this probably will not get done. I'm working on another project that has basically the same due date. I wanted to do some fantasy so this is what a goblin X-mas might be like. I'm takeing the style of the goblin from "Cat's Eye" I think that's what it's called, but just toned it down a bit for some Christmas cuteness. I'm posting the wires and basic construction, hopefully it will help anyone who wants to try organic sub-d modelling.

Well, in the time that SFM was down , i managed to nearly finish the head. We know these things are beynd your control Aceman, you'll get it fixed . Anyway it's looking a little "yoda"-ish right now. Hoping a nice full mouth of sharp teeth will help it.

That's some cool work and an interesting idea! Thanks for showing the low-poly render too, very nice to see what lead to the end result..

Thanks for the comments guys.

Really been pushin it. Knocked out the arms and chest. Had to bust out the Boris Vallejo for some muscle references, what a pain in the arse. The hands are going to kill me. Here's a pic of the wires and a clay render.

That's some fast, fancy organics modeling.

Looks awesome.

Thanks for the comments.

Real life has begun to take over. Need to do X-mas shopping still, and work's been a pain. It's doubtful I'll get anything finished this year.

Not much overall progress. Did a little tweaking to the face and chest. Added some pearly whites and some nipple action. I've never been good at rigging an organic character so had to do a quick test. Looks like I'm going to have to re weight some verts still.
