Definite improvement on the platform. You did an excelent job on those cross beams. I'm lovin the idea of a force beam to hold up the chair. I think it might look cool to add some type mechanism support it when the chair comes to rest, mabey like some spikes that come out of the bottom, and some cool power cabels that could tether it when it floats. I would try to play around with volume light for the force beam, I've always loved that effect.

The overall concept of this is an awesome idea. Did you have any references or inspirations for this I can't recall seeing anything like this in film or magazines.

The modeling is spectacular as well.

Perhaps you could put in clusters of things which serve as 'projectors' or if you're doing the tentacle idea, then something for it to come out of hehe I'm picturing something, maybe like a dome, with lenses all over it or some such? I'm sure you'll come up with something

Another thing that might look cool could be holes in the wall surrounding the central 'glowing ball, so you can see into the energy core area in the centre?

You're red leather could use a little more reflectivity, maybe just a fresnel with some reflector objects scattered around the 'roof' give it that sort of elegant leather feel?
I had pretty much planned everything you mentioned there

except for the leather thing, materials will likely be finalized at the end. I also have a little surprise in store for the control sphere..

Thank you... it took a bit of brainstorming till I came up with this idea. Just trying to find something original.

Thanx all!

Update: Not much this time, didn't have alot of time... just some more detailing...

Nice! I love the concept and the modeling is first rate, as always.

I hope to get some time to work on the braces for the bottom of the cushions soon.
