| Wow, This is a pretty amazing idea, will you be animating the rise of it from the ground? |

| Hallway Monitor | Looks excellent, I love the lighting effect! ![]() I'd say that the surface still needs to be a bit darker, with more reflection (with a texture to break it up) with some bluring. Can't wait to see it with the ivy, that should be a stark contrast! |

| Better Dead Than Red | oh you bet ![]() I didn't take note of the time it took though, but it was pretty long Quote:

light emitting textures are a new feature to me in TS6.6, but due to rendertimes I'll probably just put in a local light and turn off the light emitting part of the material to save render time do you have an example of what you mean? I'm having a hard time picturing it the ivy will probably go on after the contest simply because I may not have the time for it, and also I was thinking more along the lines of moss or grass, since the throne would have been collapsed for centuries since there's not much modeling on this project I really need to get the textures right | ||

| Hallway Monitor | Hmm not on hand. here's some stone textures on Mayang Other Stone Textures Marble Textures Granite I've seen is usually (if finished) sort of like a dense agglomerate or particles. When you polish it you cut through the lumps, so they are usually quite polished, but the bits in between are rougher, so if you equate that to reflection maps, they would be more reflective for the solid lumps and round them less reflective (or more bumped). Hopefully something there will inspire you! |

| Amazing, work there Andy. I love the idea. It's almost kryptonesque! |
