After thinking long and hard about the brief, I went through various ideas! Some far to grand for the time limit set for the challenge so I finally came up with a the idea of a turret/mech chair, a chair that is slightly different to the everyday gunner or pilots chair that we have seen! Here is the idea work I did on the 9 hour plane journey back from NY to the UK. The chair and turret are one unit so I plan to model the whole thing (minus the driver/gunner character) in 3d. I'm still thinking about how to attach the chair to the rest of the mech, how the controls will look and give the vehicle a back story and name (I'm thinking something along the lines of Crab or Mule). As you can I've given the chair a slight manga feel (especially the mech). Any suggestions and C&C are very welcome. Good luck everybody |

| SFM Guru | SWEEEET! I love the manga/anime style. You definitely nailed it. This is going to look great in 3d. I'm not sure what to suggest, I'd rather see what you come up with. Maybe a built in periscope viewing device instead of a standard screen monitor, since the gunner's line of sight seems to be blocked. |
